Desire to belong
The first refugees I saw were guided off our train when we arrived in Malmö. Families with all their packaging in plastic bags and trunks. Passing just outside our window but on the other side of a fence. Their tired faces, the silence, they had arrived and just wanted to rest. The war in the Balkans had raged for a few years.
